Training children in the way they should go, so that when they are grown they are not easily swayed...

What We’re All About

Jesus. Education. Accountability. Relationships. These four words are the basis of what can be expected from Hearts & Minds Early Learning Center. At our core, we are committed to providing quality education through professional and loving relationships - and we expect the families we serve to hold us accountable for their little ones. We firmly believe that none of what we do would be possible without Jesus, so our center incorporates Christian curriculum where appropriate.

All curriculum and activities are purposely chosen to adequately nurture the emotional and intellectual growth of all children enrolled. Through stimulating free play, hands-on learning opportunities and structured daily lessons young children are encouraged to develop into bright young minds. Our Programs

Our Mission

The mission of Hearts & Minds ELC is to partner with families in order to enhance the academic achievement and establish positive character norms for every child we serve. We do this by focusing on 3 important values: education, accountability and relationships.

Infants and Toddlers

6 weeks old to 2 years old

Our youngest minds at the center are cared for by the most loving staff. In this age group we emphasize import social skills such as sharing, turn taking, and trust. We also incorporate beginning stage academic readiness, such as the alphabet, colors, shapes and number recognition.

Pre-school Readiness

3 and 4 year old children

Our children in the 3- and 4-year-old classes receive quality instruction, utilizing Abeka curriculum, from staff that are trained by the Texas Rising Star (TRS) program. Staff routinely gauge where each child is at in order to better prepare that individual child for their first years of school. Free play and interactive learning are incorporated, and parent participation is encouraged for at home activities.

School Age Program

5 years old to 12 years old

Our school age program works with children before and after their regularly attended school programs. The staff assist children in homework assignments, provide breakfast and supper and facilitate outdoor play. During the summer and holiday seasons, our staff create learning and developmental activities that encompass all ages of the children. Summer fieldtrips are also scheduled for 8 weeks every summer.
